If it weren't for bad luck

we'd have no luck at all when it comes to dogs.

Today Hubster was in the garage and Kaisa was on her leash, tethered to a party table we have.  Somehow she managed to knock over a solid wood twin headboard onto herself that was on the other side of the garage.  She wimpered and will not put her right rear paw on the ground.  I don't see any swelling or feel any loose bones but she yelps if he knee is bent.  I placed a call to the vet.  She said it could be bruised or fractured, but if it's a fracture they'd refer to KSU Vet Hospital for ortho repair.  Until then, she's on crate resst and gets half a Maalox covered aspirin twice a day.  If she's still not bearing weight on it come Monday morning, we'll head to KSU for X-rays.  Hoping it's something that can be fixed with a simple cast and won't need plates, pins or fixators.
